Just Asking Can Present More Opportunities Than You Think

Hey beautiful people! I know I've gone missing for a while, and my consistency since December leaves much to be desired, and for that, I apologize. I haven't forgotten about you though, and my mission is still to motivate you into action to pursue your dreams.

While I've been gone I've joined forces with the amazing Christine St. Vil of Moms 'N Charge and become one of contributing writers, as well as her editor!! God surely is good, and He will present opportunities and open doors for you if only you ask. And when He answers, you need to actually do what He says do.

Many times we complain about the status quo but we never actually ask God to intervene in the "smaller" things. Just today I asked God to help me with discipline and time management. I've probably listened to 4+ webinars and podcasts on the subject, but if the implementation is still an issue after the 3rd time, chances are there're some underlying issues you need to tackle first. And by underlying issues, I don't mean some deep rooted stuff, could be, but more likely something you just haven't realized about yourself and therefore don't know to change it.

Switching gears, last night I caught a glimpse of the Grammy's and social media is certainly in love with Kendrick Lamar's performance. Because I didn't watch it in its entirety, I can't fully comment on his performance or the show, so instead I'm going to show some of the lovely sisters previously featured on the blog, as they strut their outfits on the red carpet.

Red carpets are of course a place to make a statement, and that statement should accurately reflect who you are as an individual, not just an artist. Dressing to impress isn't as easy as it may appear. And for those special occasions, it doesn't hurt to consult with a stylist. Again, asking isn't a bad thing. Though we want to work for ourselves, doesn't mean we have go at it all alone. Contrary to popular belief, joining forces doesn't diminish your shine, it can actually make you stand out.

Be blessed!
