Make Your Meal-Planning Suck a Little Less and Enjoy Your Food with These Tips

Your wellness journey is going to have to include your diet, even if you're actually not on a diet. The truth of the matter is simply that there are all kinds of stuff in our food, particularly processed foods, that impacts everything from your mood to your ability to sleep right, to your menstrual cycle, and you name it.

Equally true however is that meal planning just looks, and if we're honest, tastes like crap. But the reason we do it is to eliminate as many real-time decisions as possible. Cause when that hunger hits and you have to actually figure out what you're going to eat? Chances are you'll go for that takeout cause it's simply the path of least resistance. That's how we're wired. Whatever's gonna cause the least amount of pain and headache is the route our brain is gonna tell us to go.

Therefore having your meals already planned and prepped, makes making healthier choices the new "obvious" choice cause you have to put minimal effort in. But that doesn't mean you signed up for boring and bland food. So we're sharing our advice to your meal-planning will no longer suck.

Switch Up Your Protein

Let’s make it known that a chicken is not the only protein out there. Aren’t y’all tired of this bland chicken by now? Don’t be afraid to replace that chicken with some fish or some lean beef or legumes. Switch it up Sis.

Switch Up Your Fruits

There are SO many different kinds of fruit out there and we’re gonna need you to step out of the regular degular apples and oranges, and let your palate savor some scrumptious exotic fruit.

Spice Up Your Life

Enjoy your lean cuts of meat A LOT more by seasoning accordingly. No need to make it spicey, but explore FLAVOR. Bland is just uncalled for.

Sauce It Up

Just like bland food isn’t called for, neither is dry food. Now we know that the sauce is often where all the calories and sugars are “hidden”. So the key here is to make it yourself so you know exactly what’s going into your dressings and sauces. Just don’t be out here choking on some dry food, lol.

Sample The World

Last but not least, for the ultimate diversity, step outside your familiarity and try food from around the world. And Chinese food doesn’t cut it, lol. Healthy is eaten around the globe, so get a taste of it Sis.

We’re here for wellness in all areas of life. But we’re not here for whackedy whack anything. Especially not our food, lol. Bon Appetite girl! ♥

'Til tomorrow,

Grace & Peace!
