Why You Need To Start Today, Despite The Struggle You've Been Through

Morning, morning! Happy Sunday everyone. This week is finally coming to an end. I say finally because these past couple of days haven't been the greatest. Random thought by the way, why does the week on a calendar start on a Sunday? In Sweden it always starts on a Monday, and that is what we refer to as the first day of the week, no? Lol. Random, I know.

As I was saying, I'm happy it's Sunday. And the fact that I get to go church is the cherry on top. Being in the house of the Lord is literarily my therapy. I don't know how people go through life without Jesus in their corner, cause I know for a fact that I couldn't.

Was briefly talking to friend yesterday who said she's tired of being strong. Ever been there? When you've just had enough! Or as Fannie Lou Hammer put it:

Love that quote. It dawned on me yesterday that I've been asking God for "a break" from xyz, because I realized, that's exactly what I've been getting, breaks. Yea, every now and then, things let up, life is good, the glass half full, but give it a minute, and yup, we're back to the struggle and strife. So I prayed yesterday, and said, enough breaks, this season, this chapter in my life is DONE! Finito, kaput! Never ever, ever, ever, to return. That's what I should have been praying all along.

I know the journey to a better life, the life you've always dreamed of isn't always easy. And I even get choosing the familiar, the "safe", over the unknown and uncertain future. The only thing I can say is look at your life in the long run, look at the big picture. Yea, your desk and your cubicle isn't that bad. You've even decorated it to your liking. You know how to stay in your bosses good graces and you've successfully maneuvered your way around all the office politics. But will that cubicle still be "cute" 5, 10 years form now? Are you guaranteed to survive the next round of layoffs? And don't get me wrong, the office is meant for some. But check your heart, your spirit, your gut. Do you feel called to something else? Cause if so, you're doing yourself an injustice not giving it a shot.

The next five years are going to pass anyway. You don't want to find yourself at the end of it, saying I should've started sooner.

I hear the same  thing with people in social media all the time. "Oh I wish I'd started my YouTube 5 years ago when there was less 'competition'. Oh I wish I'd started my blog 5 years ago cause I'd be an established and reputable blogger by now." Regret wont serve you very well, so your best bet is to just start now.

I hope this encourages you, even if it's just a little. Keep the faith that it will all work out, cause the bible says

Let me know below what information I can provide, how I may of service to you, to help you and encourage you on your journey?

Be blessed!
