Embrace Your Unique Journey: Your Gifts Are Your Superpowers!

Happy New Year!! It’s 2025! Can y'all believe that?! I'm back (again), lol. I don't know how many times I've abandoned this website, but I always keep coming back to it. I'm believing that this time will be different. I truly am. So we're kicking things off with a fresh mindset and a renewed commitment to what I truly love doing doing (contrary to what one might think), and that's writing.

After dusting the cobwebs off this blog, I’ve realized that nothing changes unless something changes. This year, I’m determined to get back to what I owe God: honoring the gift He’s given me by using it. No but for real, I will not be the guy in the Bible who burried his talent (Matthew 25:14-30). Nope! Can't be me. I know it's been me, and that's why we thank God for GRACE!

Bury your intrusive thoughts instead of your gifts.

If you’ve been here before, welcome back! If you’re new, hey girl hey! You’re in the right place for relatable, encouraging, and real conversations about life, faith, and purpose. Let’s goooo!

Recognizing My Gift and Calling

For the longest time, I doubted myself. Feeling like my writing wasn’t good enough or that no one cared about what I had to say. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. If God gave me this passion and gift, it wasn’t by mistake. It’s meant to serve someone, even if it’s just one person. (It’s definitely more than one person though, lol.)

Clarity Comes Through Action

One thing I’ve learned is that clarity doesn’t come from sitting and overthinking. It comes from doing. I used to write every day, letting whatever was on my mind flow onto the page. That consistency not only built momentum but also helped me figure out my voice and the direction I wanted to take my blog. This year, I’m getting back to that practice. No more waiting for the “perfect idea” or worrying about whether it’s good enough. I’m trusting that as I write, the purpose will become clearer.

The Power of Systems (Even for Type B Personalities)

Here’s where the game changes: Systems. Listen, I’ve said it before - planning is great, but without systems to back it up, plans often fail. So, I’ve been intentional about creating routines and structures that work for me. That said, I’m not a Type A personality. You know, the super-organized types who seem to accomplish everything effortlessly. That’s not me, and guess what? That’s okay!

There’s room for us Type B personalities at the table of success too. The key is figuring out what works for you and adapting tools and advice in a way that feels sustainable. For me, that means setting up systems to support my writing, my career goals, and my personal growth.

Being True to Myself

In the past, I’ve tried to mimic other people’s processes, but it never worked long-term because it wasn’t authentic to me, my life. This year, I’m fully embracing the woman God created me to be. Yes, I’ll draw inspiration from others, but I’ll make sure to adapt those ideas to fit my life. Sustainability is the name of the game!

Takeaway: Start Where You Are

So here I am, starting where I am, with what I have. My time away from writing (over a WHOLE year!! That's crazy) taught me valuable lessons and gave me experiences that I know will enrich my work. This is my year of revival. Of my gift, my purpose, and my commitment to God.

I want to encourage you to do the same. What gift, passion, or goal have you been sitting on? Maybe you’ve been too afraid, too busy, or too unsure to act on it. Sis, don’t let fear or doubt hold you back. Start where you are. Embrace who you are. And trust that God will meet you in the process.

Your Turn: Let’s Talk!

What’s one gift or goal you’ve been hesitant to act on? How do you plan to take the first step this year? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to cheer you on and walk this journey with you!

Here’s to an amazing 2025 filled with clarity, action, and success. Let’s do this!
